Recovering your account

Here are simple steps for getting your account back on track.

1. Clean Browsing History, Downloads and Browser Extensions

2. You will need to get rid of any malware before recovering your account. Bad downloads could allow your account to be hacked again.

3. Perform a full virus scan on your computer to remove malicious files and programs. Restart your computer and run the scan one more time for safety.

4. Browser extensions installed should be removed. Only accept extensions from verified websites.

5. Reset Your Password

6. After the reset, in Account settings, change your password to something that is secure and isn’t easy to guess.

If you lost products on your account

Breached accounts are eligible for a one-time recovery of inventory lost. Note that PoshTrader does not have a feature that allows us to return an account to an earlier state, but we recover what we can. For more information and to get the process started, contact us.

We require notification within 60 days if the account is breached. Unfortunately, if we are not notified within this time, we might not be able to recover the account’s inventory.
